PEP Lab Logo Design

Dr. Stephen Benning, the director of the Psychophysiology of Emotion and Personality Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, proposed that I design a logo for his psychology lab. He left the logo concept fairly open-ended. After working out some ideas in my sketchbook, I illustrated a few of his favorite designs. We went through several iterations of each logo concept, fine-tuning the best ideas.

This logo was challenging due to the very long name of his lab. We decided to use the same colors as UNLV, a stylized humanoid shape, and a slightly rounded sans serif typeface, Brandon Grotesque.
